Which bulb holders? All of them, or specific ones?
Sorry, the numberplate ones. The ones I ordered seem to fit until you try to connect them, either the pins don't quite line up or they are slightly too big. I can bodge them and know that they would work, but bit of a pain.

The number plate bulb holder part number for the Leon Mk2 is 3D0943021A and the part number for the Golf Mk6 is 5N0943021. The "943021" is the significant bit of the part number and indicates that both the Leon Mk2 and the Golf Mk6 essentially use the same base part.

I couldn't see any part number on the eBay listing you got yours from so it's difficult to ascertain if those ones are meant to be 100% compatible.

I've ordered some of these...

The resistor and some of the connectors look a bit different to the ones you got but the listing has part number 3D0943021A explicitly written in the description so if they don't fit they'll be going back. I'll let you know how I get on.

Hers what I have done to stop the bulb warning light on my facelift Leon 2010.

I followed advice from the briskoda forum and have fitted a w5w bulb holder soldered inline behind one of my numberplate lights. I am also running canbus LEDs from autobulbs direct but they still threw the bulb error when I fitted them originally but with the inline bulb, its problem solved! :D

I know it solves the issue but I really do hate seeing bodge jobs like this

I was quite proud of my soldering skills until I saw the reply from speed FReek. However I know what you mean. I hate chopping into looms etc but just thought it was the best option. I have only made a small cut in the wire coating so if I remove everything I can just about put it back to normal. (Anyway the spiders behind the bumper might be pleased to have a bit of light now!)

I would have at least have soldered in a bulb holder so the bulb could be replaced if it ever blows to avoid having to mess around with a soldering iron each time :) Better still, the non bodgy way would be to measure the resistance across that bulb filament connections and then solder in a high wattage resistor of the same value instead of a bulb. Or forget all of that and try enabling Byte 17, Bit 7 in the BCM as shown in post #18 of this thread.

Hi again. It is a bulb holder, my phone has a pants camera. Tried vcds but couldn't find that option on my car. I don't have the genuine cable and my car is an SE so not sure if that's why or if it has a lesser spec BCM?. At least there's plenty of options for folk to try out there.

On to more important issues with the car now though. I have a noisy timing chain...............doh!

Thanks mate, that's also answered my next question. I'll pop a message on the order asking for large purple one, resistor that is

I dont even know if they even fitted a bigger resistor or not to be fair i just put it in the seller request at time of sale and there is nothing to say they even changed the resistor but so far so good anyway

Further question to anyone who has lowered their leon. i personally don't want the nose down stance i want a level stance.. too many sump busters here in NI. so that rules outs sportlines for me. H&R springs 40/40 then seems the next choice but that still doesn't resolve the 10 mil of difference already from the front and rear with the standard FR suspension. ( I measured up )

Still need to decide on how low i want to go but have my worries about rubbing my inner arches over rough roads,l i am fit to do this already standard over rough roads with 19s. coilovers the next best option??

H&R seem to range from 170 to 214 but i can buy a set of cobra coilovers for 220 so deciding on price doesnt make the choice any easier

Insurance wont cover coilovers have to change companies which alll in all will cost me an addition 200 from standard

Current insurance company may cover springs but need to know the specifics but its still going to be an addittion just have not got the exact figure yet
