Just wondering what people think about a few things im considdering and to see if people have followed similar avenues, just thoughts at the moment though....
Re-map: To take it between 180bhp-200bhp (not sure how much the torque would go up by) so its quite safe as I travel 400-500 miles a week (around 25k a year). Would possibly be a Revo. However Ive heard a few pople mention the clutches when it comes to mapping the diesels as they tend to not be able to handle the power/torque very well or even if they dont break they wont be able to transfer the power very well if its a standard one. However am I right in thinking with a remap and an improved clutch I will be looking in the region of £800-£1000?
Cupra R Backbox: Looks a tad nicer than the FR twin pipe one however I think these are around £300 from the stealers and id imagine hard to come by 2nd hand. Also would it give better performance to a slight degree, allow the car to run smoother or increase in engine tone?
Air Filter I dont have the best knowledge as to what's best to do with diesels and air filters/induction. With petrols its fairly streight forward but is there much available for diesels and is it worth even adding?
Brakes The brakes are good but not brilliant and are a let down in comparisson with how well the car handles. What should I be looking for in the area of a decent (without going over the top) upgrade? I doubt just getting green stuff's would be worth it and going fr better calipers and disks would be a better option?
Any opinons are very welcome!
Thanks!
