Ive got a 54 plate LCR, and so far have only had a Revo Remap. I was thinking about getting a new dump valve (forge splitter-r) an exhaust system from the manifold with a high flow sports cat and get a new panel air filter.

Can anyone advise me on what to get, whether the forge splitter valve is any good, any ideas on which panel filter too buy and which exhaust system!

any suggestions would be great!!

Thanks Matt

for what i have seen and heard on this forum is that the first mods are likely to be :

Turbo intake pipe
Forge 007 diverter valve
Smoothed airbox with GREEN COTTON panel filter or induction kit
dogbone mount

also hear alot of MILTEK exhaust systems on this forum

The Split r has had a bit of 'bad press' as it can be difficult to set up and prehaps not as loud as other set ups.
For the best go for the above but perhaps a Piper exhaust system as Milltek don't do a Doown Pipe.

The Split-R's can be a pig to set up and there not very loud, It will never make the same noise as a Cossie or an Evo, if your not bothered about noise then you might be better of with the 007.
you wont go far wrong with a Miltek cat back back and they do a de-cat and a high flow cat

im looking to get a high flow sports cat fitted, ive got a mates whos dad makes them for lambourghini so he said hed do a custom one with a high flow cat for around £800, comes with lifetime warranty. with the 007 would it be better to go for the ajustable one or just the standard? and when i get the panel filter whether it be green or piper what other mods to the airbox needs doing? thanks

This will tell you all you need to know about what to do with your airbox ;)

The 007 is not adjustable, other than different strengh spring's which you change if and when you re-map it. The Split-R is the adjustable one but once it's set up right dont touch otherwise you will cause yourself no end of problems.
Do you the classic dump valve noise want from the D/V ???

cheers for the link will sus that one out in a minute!
and yea the classic dump valve noise is what im after, would it be worth going for the split-r over the 007 cause ive got a mate who builds engines who wouldnt have any problems fitting it. and what setting would i need, the hybrid, re-circulating or atmospheric. cuz ive heard if you have fully atmospheric youll get a really rich mixture and itll ruin the ecu and youll get warning lightsd come on. but dont now about the re-cirulaing or hybrid.

The fitting is easy, It's setting it up that is a pain, All engines and valves will set up differently, basically you just twist the top till it stops clicking but it is a case of trial and error.
But be warned the Split-R is NOT at all loud, A remap will help do to higher boost levels and either an open cone filter or modded airbox will also make it a bit louder but it will NEVR be as loud as a Cossie or Evo.
If you want an atmos valve stick to the Split-R or I think Bailey do one which is ment to be pritty good.

Yea well ive already got the re-map, and ill probably go for the split-r valve cause noise isnt a major issue. ill sort out the airbox today i think and smooth it all out then get the panel filter soon. are there any probs with smoothing the airbox? then all i needa sort out it a T.I.P ive heard on here that the Forge one is very good!

The only problem with smoothing the airbox is the amout of mess you will make doing it :D
Tyr THS for the TIP, they are a fair bit cheaper and ment to be as good
