Really am starting to get pissed off with this now :censored:

The car has stopped pulling to the left so violently now, either that or i have adjusted the way i drive. But either way it certainly doesn't seem as apparent.

I have another problem which i should of checked earlier but hey ho..

Above 90mph the whole car shakes, up and down it feels like it's coming from the back but i'm not so sure.

I also get slight steering wheel shake at around 60, but it's nothing compared to high speeds.

I'm fed up of wasting my time with bullshit mechanics, can anyone suggest a specialist locally who i can take my car too look at, and after an hours diag can tell me what the hell is wrong with it!?!

I live in south yorks and don't mind a short drive to the right person!

Cheers

The steering wheel shake sounds like the wheels need balancing.

Have you had your tracking lookad at recently, or ever?

Car has been tracked 3 times since the new tyres, fronts have been balanced twice since the new tyres.

I'll take it back again and have all 4 balanced and hope this sorts things out!

JBS clicky are at Chesterfield so not too far for you I'd guess living in South Yorks.

I've not used them myself but plenty of the guys on here have and don't seem to have a bad word to say for them.

Agree with what bigjode says about the balancing but if you've had it done 3 times then doubt it'd be that, unless the place that did the balancing was crap. Have you hit any kerbs or pot holes, the roads in West Yorks are crap :thumbd: so could be a wheels' bent slightly, or it could be one of the tyres is fooked, I had this on one of my last cars where one of the tyres had a bulge in it, not sure how it got there, but this caused a serious vibration at 70 - 80 mph. You could see it when the wheel was taken off the car and the only fix was to replace the tyre.

Try checking your wheels and tyres for any damage and that as I mentioned in my last post that the tyres don't have any bluging on the tread area. If it's a knackered tyre you can get that sorted today most likely

They are new tyres - Toyo T1-S

I'm not buying more, if they are knackered they are going back. As i said before prior to the new tyres the car was absolutley fine at any speed.

Thats a bit harsh mate, I just had my top mounts replaced, and what i didnt know was that they didnt put the struts in the backin the right place. i had hunt around for ages to get somewhere to adjust my camber and tracking. By then i needed two front tyres as well! managed to find a place in woking, that did it for 65 quid, inc tracking.

Right, since the rain stopped for half an hour i went out to have a look at the rear wheels..

First observation was that some of the bolts werent torqued up :censored:

I then took the crappy 5mm spacers off and put the wheels back on, torqued up the bolts and took it out for a drive.

@110mph i didn't feel any major vibrations what so ever, top queer is on v.shortly so i'll try them again with the spacers on and the wheels torqued up.

Some of the front bolts were loose also, it looks like the have onle torqued 2 of the four bolts up on every wheel!!

I left the locking wheel nut key on one of the wheels by mistake when i took it out. How it was still on the wheel when i came back i have no idea. Perhaps my luck is starting to improve.
