mp3 CD skipping

I got my new car on monday, one of the first things I did was create a CD with MP3s on to play in the new radio.
The MP3s in the root directory all play fine, but if you change to a folder on the CD then the MP3s skip ans jump about all over the place.

Anyone encountered this??

Have you tried the cd in a computer/other car mp3 headunit?

yeah, works in the PC, don't know anyone else who has got a mp3 CD player

I had this in my alana unit, it really made a hash of mp3 cds. It wouldnt read music in some folders, kept skipping the music, really unreliable.

My solution.

Replaced it with a Jvc one the I had spare from my old car, played the same cds in it and they were fine.
