hello

im just woundering on what these cars are doing to the gallon. i know they are all different bhp etc but just looking for an idea as im looking to buy one. im not expecting 40+ but would a guess around the 30mpg be about rite if you drive normal and then obviously less if you drive them properly ;-) haha

just trying to get an idea as my round trip to work is 28miles a day.

cheers people

i did leeds to buxton last week 80mph most of the way 180 miles round trip mine has done 33mpg and i normally get round 180-220 on a tank running around at best i have seen was 340 miles on the tank , just depends how you drive

one thing think the ibizas need a 6 gear, 100 ish in 5 and already at 3k revs

When i drove to the nurburgring i was averaging 39 all the way, until we hit german roads lol

Thats at 235bhp

Obviously if your not using boost on motorways etc then they are good on fuel

But chasing a corvette down the Autobahn at 150mph you can almost watch your fuel needle going down like a rev counter ;)

chris- what bhp are you running at?

berg- haha your reply put a smile on my face would love to do that trip one day, any videos?

cheers lads

look at my build thread gives you a idea

to be honest if i sent the spare turbo off can go straight on to a hybrid

haha hope that credit card is 0% interest mate, if not get a new one and balance transfer to your new card. will cost you around £30-£40 and then you will have no interest for 12 months plus depending on the card deal. im on about card number 8 hahaha
just checked your thread looking very nice, made me want one even more haha

i know its only £50 but over 10months its £500 and that could have been a new part for your car.let me know if you want any info on it.

yeah but interest rate charges do drop down , i have another card which is a balance transfer jobbie with 12 month interest free but seems abit silly 4 months and should be paid off anyways i never make the min payment always pay off as much as i can

i have found that turbos dont like short distance driving you seem to use loads more petrol, i put in about £40+ a week

i would look into at getting a diesel if your doing that much a day

My hybrid does 35 to ten quid driving little bit of boost

But can do bout 20 miles on boost lol

Boost is a drug!

It's better to pay it all off every month, I do this and they just keep raising the credit limit to try get me spending more than I can pay off so I get charged interest. No thanks!

If your other card is a Mastercard then i'd transfer it. Visa is expensive, the reason they charge more for visa is that it's normally (but not in all cases) for people with bad credit who want to repair their credit rating, so a higher risk means higher interest. Also, it's interest free on your balance transfer. You will only have a transfer charge, which if it's less than the 4 month interest your paying I'd defo get it transferred!
Don't mind me, the wife works in the banking sector so knows the ins and outs of it! ;)
