Nice motor what about the honeycomb grill and black wing mirror cap's like a Cupra a nice Revo sticker will cover up that copa sticker:lol:

Hi Ryan,

COPA stickers are gone:):):):)

Would like to fit a honey combe grill, but the eco grill is part of the "aero" pack that fitted to get the extra mpg.. I'm going to gloss black wrap the chrome surrond and possibly the mirrors when it warms up!

Quick update,

finally got around to wrapping the front chrome grill in gloss black..

1st time I've used vinyl.. Quite easy once you get the hang of it!

Next job is rear window tints and might use some lightish tint film on the rear lights just to tone them down a little..

Update!

It's been a while since the Mk2 got another tweek, but as she had her 1st service this week at 18,600 (since last November) I thought I'd treat her to a black 2 Flyeye kit..

Quick and easy mod and at £10 cheap as well!!

What do you guys think??

DDC can I ask a quick question I see you had your roof wrapped in gloss black have you had any issues with the gloss black vinyl ie: has it marked or scratched when you've washed it I know you must not polish it as it won't do it any good. I ask as I want to do my roof and spoiler but in two minds with what colour to do either gloss/matt black or a carbon look.?

Hi Simon, just seen your post...

Ok yes the wrap does mark a little, it is not as scratch resistant as paint.. Also any high gloss black surface will show up any marks/scuffing.. The gloss black Seat sport BBS wheels are the same when inspected very closely!

Re polish, I've used some Colinite 845 on mine a couple of times without issue as yet.

Will the exhaust tip fit on all leons? Mine is the mk2 1.9 tdi stylance. There is a gap plenty big enough in the rear bumper for one. But im not sure on the exhausts diameter.

ddc - was that you on the M27 westbound at 1400 today?

Looks like it had the worlds biggest aerial on the roof - were you talking to someone on the moon or something?
