For someone going from a 60hp car It will probably feel fast enough. When I had my 1.4 I used to drive my Mum's C180K and that felt ridiculously fast. I've found that the pre-facelift cars are starting to look their age now though, and have all been to the moon and back when it comes to mileage. Just be aware that E46s rust badly and are costly to repair. Especially front wings. They also tend to crack subframes and snap springs.

For a car I bought to not modify, my list of just 2 things I want to do isn't too bad.

Angel eyes, but not the standard full circle ones as I think these make the facelift coupe look dopey, so need to buy full replacement headlight units.

New headunit. Don't want to spend the £600 that Dynavin and Andrive want, so I'll get a Dynavin clone off eBay (Enco-B146).
