Thats a 16valver for a guess with that interior. Nice car mate! I nearly bought one in that colour before i fell in love with mine. Can't go wrong with a cordy for a bit of cheap fun if its been well cared for. What are you thinking of doing with it, the exhaust and wheels suit it well.

Cheers weejase, thats the kind of comments i was after, everything you wrote was excately what i wanted/planned on doing.
1. Wasnt sure if there are any holes on the bump strips which would be left otherwise there'd be straight off there
2. I de swirled it my self when i brought the car but havent got around to doing it again.
3.Wanted to lower it 30/35 mm on fk's or something like that.
4.Get the whole bottom pieces painted in black, sideskirts, front bumper at the bootom and rear bumper at the bottom.
5.maybe change the wheels but will see how it looks lowered first.

the rub strips are sponge backed adesive, not hard to remove and could leave you with a mismatch of paint, but as you know your way around some elbow grease, can be blended, remove on a hot day with a hairdryer CAREFULLY.
my old ibiza had them on and someone had used super glue to fix a corner that had lifted, that took quite alot longer than the removing of the rest of the strips.

i was thinking of saying that. but didnt wana be nasty. not saying you are being nasty weejase lo

i think if things are worded right and not malicous, people tend to take comments on board without taking offence.

Completely agree about the badgeless grill its a 100% improvement and the saxo boys have no clue whats just rolled up next to them at the lights ;) Get loads of what the fcuks that from them, even though the 2litre 16v badge is a small clue. Debadged the back also.

Was going to for clear side repeaters but the orange ones blend in with the paint from a distance so it doesnt look like it has any, so not sure what way to go with them.

Waiting for my current exhaust to give up (it nearly has) then i'll be getting a subtle but throaty stainless one as i think the engines make a fantastic noise.

Needs lowering, the handling as standard is ok on fast sweeping corners but anything sharp and it gets a bit confused in my opinion. Still to get mine done but spent £1000 on it in the last month so thats waiting for now

With a black car i think light tints would suit it really well and the colour coding idea is good. Also the side strips dont really go with the sporting image of the car so i agree with getting rid of them.

If you havent already have a good look at the clutch cable as new ones are a big improvement and old ones can cause damage and cost you serious pennies in the pedal box department.

A drilled airbox with a green pannel filter is also a good addition especially with a better exhaust.

Finally a speaker upgrade and you'll have a very good all round car.

Really really want a wrc rear spoiler as i think they look amasing, only just had mine a year, its done 115,000 miles so had a big service to put it through. Because of that i've gone for giving it a clean look at the moment.

I can't decide on which way to go with it now really love the look of the rally ones but i dont think this car is the right one for that. Got plans involving a 1.6SX with a knackered engine, F2 bumpers, some white OZ super T's and a VR6 from a mk3 golf at the moment so i think that will probably be given the rally car look if i do it, especially as its bengal yellow ;)

Good thing is mines only done 42,000 miles, i could removethe bump strips myself but was going to wait get sideskirts and bumpers sprayed and then do the strips all at the same time.front speakers are already upgraded but dont know what will fit in the back shelf?? what the problem with the clutch? mines a very long bite point.
