hi everyone just wanted peoples thoughts on my engine bay clean up today. pictures below.

Looks very nice you have been busy havent you. Why dont you get a smaller washer bottle and reroute the chrage pipe around the back of the engine instead of over that nice rocker cover

thanks mate yer has been a busy day got up at 7 and have only just stopped. thats a good idea im skint at the moment so im going for all the cheap mods. im thinking of getting a uni front mount. also i wouldent mind spraying the inlet mani but im scared of taking it off.

If your thinking of spraying the inlet mani then you may as well put a power gasket on it when you got the cash and uni front mount is a great mod standard frount mount really struggle and the diffrence between a decent fmic and the standard smic on a hot day is immense. Why not experiment and try polishing your strut tops and have you polished your charge pipe?

yer i had a little go at pollishing the charge pipe thier is just so much to do and not enough time or money haha. o well on going project front mount has got to be next i miss the front mount look with no grill... thanks for the comment guys.

Haha thats so random, i was just thinking about spraying mine white about 20 mins ago and then saw your post! Looks good mate, i was gunna spray the charge pipe white aswell and buy some blue anodised nuts for the rocker cover.

I went to ma mates one day and had one hoover and wash and clay bar my car and the other polish my charge pipe and i did sweet f all still dont know how i managed it lols polished charge pipe looks nice trust

nothing beats the a good days work on the car. apart from if its fixing a new turbo or fitting a fmic. i got it all to come.
also how do you go about polishing the charge pipe lots of metal polish sand paper 1000 grit?

i used harsher paper to start with then fine stuff after and auto sol metal polish doesnt take to long once you get stuck in

yer it was blue i sold it to buy a tdi becuase if my 40mile a day work trip. but within a week of owning a tdi i hated it and got myself another cupra.
just a stage 1 nothing to silly. hey dave have you ever had a stage one cupra do they spoil up really slow and progressive compared to stage 2 car seems to take ages to get to full boost?
