My 08 Leon FR diesel will start everytime when cold but when the engine is warm or hot it judders then after 10/11 attempts it finally starts. It has had the cam belt change on last service 55,000 miles which solved the problem for 3 days then it went back to my local garage and they changed the cam sensor which solved the problem for a week and it started doing it again so it went back to the garage AGAIN !! It has been put on the diagnostic machine and he says it is throwing up loads of fault codes some that don't make sense including the jeated wind screen. Has anyone else had this problem or knows what it might be as i hate driving my van as a full time family car !!!!

PLEASE HELP !!!!!!

Its due to wear in the injectors and the engine not compensating for this. It will detect its warm and use less diesel to turn over the engine, however due to wear it's actual less than the engine needs. This isn't a problem when cold as the amount of diesel being injected is much higher in comparison

MY 2008 tdi fr has the same problems. Ive had the injectors replaced under the recall because i thought the problem was them. Turns out the hot starting problem is to do with a camshaft position sensor. I hope to get this sorted in the new year and ill post up what was replaced.
