My Ibiza FR slightly jolts when hitting 40mph in third gear

Hi,

Apologies if I've posted this incorrectly I am new to this forum!

I have a 62 Reg Seat Ibiza FR and lately when I've been driving in third gear hitting 40+ MPH it will slightly jolt almost as if you’ve driven over a small pot hole or wheel span slightly

It doesn’t do it in any other gears and fourth gear 40mph is fine. No power is lost or anything afterwards.

Is this normal? If not any ideas?

You have posted in the correct area, but I can not comment on this problem as I've never experienced it personally, are you sure that it is not happening at the same engine RPM in 2nd or 4th gear?
I'm sure others will post later!

Hi, also would be helpful to know, at the time are you accelerating gently or have you got the pedal flat to the floor?

I've started having this issue as well very frequently now, although mine sometimes jolts a few times. Always in either 4/5th gear around 40+mph plus and foot to the floor. No power loss or anything, just random jolts but no idea what it is. My cars due a service so I was thinking maybe it just needs some fresh fluids.
