I try to do a decent mod and I also fight with some details... car chassis is cupra original, we have bad roads. The car is used all over the year, summer/winter.:)

Your car is better lookin than mine anyway,,,

how do you use the original cupra suspension?????? I thought the springs were too soft to bear the diesel engine weight - it is quite heavier than the 1.8T.

Diesel 1.9 TDi 81kw -Petrol 1.8T :) have a parallel weight ;)

some questions then mate:

-when you put in the vnt17 [130 turbo] did you have to use a different manifold or was it a direct swap? [i.e. take out old turbo, bolt the new one in]
-what car exactly was the turbo off? golf, ibiza, audi or what else?
-what intercooler did you use?

turbo is from czech car Skoda Fabia RS
I only change turbo, no other modification
this year I want to change intercooler:)

using a vnt17 gives you better flow [the turbo is bigger] and it handles more boost [stock 130 runs 1.8 peak and does 1.5 constant IIRC] than the VNT15 [which has a max constant of 1.2]. You need a remap and an intercooler to take advantage of it. and most likely a better clutch.

I am really interested in putting a vnt15/17 hybrid in,,, but firstly I need to find a cheap turbo [they are mega pricey on ebay and in the local market, I know people who found some units for a bargain] then I need to get a suitable intercooler, one that's not too big [I don't want lag] but that cools enough and at the same time will be possible to install without sawing off half of the car,,, but maybe I want everything together and this can't be done,,,

I am a friend of Seatik. His tuner :).

The mods he desribed, he mean, they are in very soon plan to do.

Basstard: Do not affraid of lag. Put whole GT17 turbo, not hybrid. Complete GT17 is much better.
And good intercooler, I would preffer PD150 IC. But do not know, if you are able to install it into your car (because of space).

Vnt15 boosts about 0.95 bar stock. PD130 GT17 boosts 1.35 stock.

Regarding the Seatik car:
It is stock now, only with mild chip to approx. 135hp.

The plans are:
- powerplus764 or race520 nozzles
- GT17 turbo
- bigger IC
- custom software

To do 180hp mild TDI.. Seatik doesn't want to build some extreme beast (yet :D ... but he will change his opinion I believe :)).

He asked me to put explanation here.

I hope I will not be thrown out, because of my car (not seat) :)
