That sucks balls man. I thought it was strange seeing it parked there, as your normally where I park so no one mashes it with their doors. Only reason i was at that end was cause wife was waiting in the car. She's 6 months with our baby girl and is like a pitbull at the mo - god help anyone catching eye contact, let alone hit the car with their door. Harsh about the paint dude, I guess it could have been worse and they mashed your light or grille in. Will have to get something on it so it doesn't start peeling and cracking with the crappy weather. I've got 1/2 maybe 1/3 can of clear lacquer you can use to spray over to seal. Not sure if that would help or make things worse but youre welcome to it, if it will seal the chip and stop it getting worse? No idea??!!? Prob best to talk to a body shop that knows what they're talking about! Either that or trip to nearest Lambo dealer for a touch up pen! :(

Thanks for your help, really appreciate it. Well, Im handing the car back to the body shop in the new year right after christmas. The bodyshop said they need to fine tune the remaining touches etc spray the back bumper again (more creamish yellow than a darker yellow) and sort my right headlight (aint in the bumper fully), he still has a full can of paint and lacquer left and it won't cost me a dime. Going to ask him to spray the bottom half of the bumper again, so its cool bud. If I knew the women in my family were going to take that long, I would never had parked there! Thats a hotspot for damaged cars man! And congrats to you and your missus! :D

Cheers bud. Any ways back to your motor - why are you going to eibachs. If this is your family wagon, if you can push a bit more why not go coil overs? then you can load up and not worry about cracking the sump every time you hit a pothole in the borough!

I heard coil overs can be a bit harsh. I don't really want to drop it too much, just enough to cover the arches and a good look. Eibach should be fine. only drops 30mm from the front and 25mm from the back... I seen pics of cleverspoons fr tdi with the Eibach kit which I want and looks good!

Been a while since i posted sooo here are some updates....she failed her MOT a few days back, which I thought she would. All the failed components were related to suspension issues. Baring in mind I have owned the car for nearly 3 years and clocked 30k in this period and havent changed anything relating to suspension mods, so tracking rods, wishbone bushes, top mounts, gaitor, tie-rods and cv boots were all replaced. Before the steering was too light, wholly and crashing everywhere....now its much in control, more firm and stiff and has brought back my confidence around roundabouts and bendy roads. Much safer too. Happy days lol. Now looking forward to remapping and lowering in the new year

look great in yellow, shame the yellow colour doesnt seem to last aswell as other shades as otherwise would have been my first choice of colour (have a red one, which also seems prone to fadin).

Know what you mean mate. When I first brought it nearly 3 years ago, the standard ovni yellow was showing signs of fading and it was clear it needed a respray. The lamborghini pearl yellow is a bit darker than the ovni. The bodyshop which treated her have told said this time it won't fade? Well I hope it doesnt as I have spend far too much to get her perfect

Colour looks amazing, I also love the yellow but I was a sucker and fell for mine after the test drive! First car I had test driven too! I'm pleased with mine though, got a gloss black theme on the go with the silver, mirrors callipers and b pillars that sort of thing, no black wheels though! What plans have you got in regards to engine?

Yellow can be dreadful sometimes; attracts the boy racers...always getting tail-gated! Well have a remap planned soon, egr delete (not sure if thats gonna help) uprated turbo pipes and boost pipes (not sure which ones to go for but thinking Forge), pollen fitler. Any suggestion mates?

I wouldn't even try racing a car with those bumpers! Because 9/10 times its either a 210 or 225! I got chinned by a 1.8 tdci mondeo the other day purely because it span up in 1st, then I thought I'd **** him in 2nd and t/c told me other wise haha! It's ok I'm aloud to chew tyres I'm 21! But only on a warmed up engine!
Well a map is always good, would see an increase of 40-45bhp and a load of torque, but then at some stage you'll need a clutch.... egr delete will stop it smoking from what I've heard, and allows the turbo to spool abit better, the sfs hoses are used a lot, but read m20fes' RR about his as it was chafing I think, the pancake pipe one, so if you're after looks just the other one would do, and the only gain you'd get from a pollen filter is the heaters smelling neutral again instead of damp lol, mine needs changing its soggy from the dodgy sealed compartment. If you meant a panel filter then I don't you get many gains from it just really just a bit louder sucking noise. Paint really does look good! If you don't mind me asking, how much we're your springs?

Trust me down here in my end I have all these corsa, fiesta's, vtecs gunning for me lol. I never dare to floor on the streets as there's too much torque and it tends to lose control. But on the dual carriageways it flies. I spoken to jabbasport they reckon 180bhp and peak torque set at 290lb should be fine as I placed a new clutch, flywheel and gearbox last year so I should be fine. Btw clutch and flywheel were Sach make which a lot people rate. I think with diesel engines a cold air feed works well so I might give that a shot. Usually diesel turbo cars always have problems with the intercooler and boost pipes collapsing under too much boost. Havent lowered it yet mate, should be done next month...going to use Eibach Pro springs which should lower 30mm front and 25mm from the back. Eibach a good brand and a lot people are running these on the forum. Should be £176 from DPM performance.

I know what you mean mine shoots to the left if I gun it sometimes, I really don't know what springs to use!

And this is what I achieved after nearly 2 1/2 years of owning my leon! The R kit has changed the look of the car and I fell in love again lol

The foglights are missing and Seat wants £90 for one! Forget that, heard the audi A6 1997-2001 shape the foglights are the same? Or might scan ebay for a while...

WOW ;) what a difference, cracking car you have there

It depends what drop you have in mind joshy! If your planning to drop more than 40mm you will need springs and shocks kit. Weitec Ultra GT is a good make but quite costly. 4937Liam has them running on his fr, take a look in his RR. Anything under 40mm drop you be just fine on springs; best one to go for are either H&R or Eibach Pro or Eibach Sportlines. Pro drops it by 30mm rear and 25 mm, exactly what im after as she's mine daily and family ride. Cant drop it lower than that as the bumpers are too low. Sportlines drop it by 40mm all round. The Weitecs come in two forms, either 40mm all round or 50mm/40mm. Don't bother with coilovers, far too expensive and a harsh ride. Best best would be Eibach Pro. I get mine done in four weeks and I post some pics here for you so you get a rough idea on how it might look on yours ;)

nice ri!de

Nice ride mate, mine currently needs a respray and wheels refurbing, im thinking subara mustard and polished wheels. and im glad ive seen pics of your windows because i was undecided as to get rear tints and wind deflectors all round, but i think it look flush with them just on the front. btw only owned my car 2 weeks and have 3 people try to/want to race me already:blink:
