Indeed, most bikes are around 0.5 bhp/kg whereas your average car will be around 0.15 bhp/kg.
No contest in outright acceleration.

the kid with the ibiza is a good mate of mine aswell, i believe it has been played around with by previous owner because my mate has not mapped it, i dunno what j@mes driving is like, must be quite good as he has got quickest time at santa pod in a remapped cupra r at 13.8, but his quickest standard time was 15.2. i think people dont want to believe that a pd130 leon mapped will keep with a cupra r till a 100I would say that he probably is remapped and just doesnt know it.
Having owned a 14.8 1/4mile Ibiza 130 and been up against numerous type r's Focus ST, Leon R etc etc Blah blah...boring! I do know how fast the 130's are, especially in the lighter ibiza
The 130's are fine till about 90mph when there tiny turbo's run out of puff
This is were the other cars will pull lengths out.
I still think a LCR should hit sub 15 sec 1/4's
But when your talking a few tenths of a second, thats like having more fuel than the other person, or more passengers, or messing up a gear change, or even taking it to the redline etc etc
Just get the Ibiza on a RR and see what bhp it produces, end of!
So what we have learnt is that Scotty1's 'reet' fast leon is in effect slower than a standard PD100 polo?
Bad times....
