nice to see another 6K 8valve. the 1.8 8v golf cam really make that much difference? mine has a terrible flat spot and hesitates at low revs sometimes!!
i wish my gti had the full bumpers that your's has
is yours a pre-face lift then? yeah the gti cam worked well. but not without its problems though( see my other thread about the camshaft sheared) thats 2 attempts now! I think i'm gonna leave it for the 3rd! it cured all the flat spots although mine was never anything like hesitant at low revs. that was when it was best! have you tried cleaning out your throttle body? that worked a treat on mine!
just pm'ed that lad who is selling the jamex coilovers in the for sale sections. they wind down up to 120mm!
not sure mate. they'll either be those or mk3 8v brakes. they're fairly large for such a light car. ( they are listed as weighing 1050kg and i have removed 75kg from mine!)

the fella i bought mine off fabricates custom stainless exhausts for a living, and he said hed build me one for 200 quid, so i shall be taking him up on that, n get rid of my cat, which should help matters

spare wheel (foooked anyway, just used tyreweld!) toolkit (jack n stuff)rear seats and rear sound deadening. weighed it on the scales at work and came to just under 75kg!

i really need more top speed!! i can out accelerate a tuned focus st 170 yet i got beaten at the top end by a normally aspirated 2.0L 115bhp passat!!! destroyed it no problem through the gears but my car will physically not pull past 122 mph ( measured on the speedo anyway!)! and all i could do was just sit there and watch this passat slowly pull away from me!!! arse i want that gti golf cam back on!!! and this feckin ecu chip to arrive!

reputedly 6 bhp but probably more like 3-4. but it should liven it up a bit and get rid of the flat spots. i also happen to know that they raise the rev limiter to 7k rpm (up from 6250). whether that's a good thing on a 135k mile engine is questionable! but i'll take whatever gains i can get!

looking smart. I like the ATS Cups, but not sure if they suit the car (it may just be the angle of the pictures)
