You could buy some steelies from scrappies and shove them on

Or just sell the g60's as you'd have to knock money off now anyway if you take them off, then when you decide for banding then buy another set (go for cheap anyway) ;)

Good man, love the car mate, good colour choice too :)
The jetta is wicked, a mate had one converted to VRT, to some it up, it was ******* amazing.

thanks for the comments guys

quick update

coilovers came the other day and fitted the fronts looks good but catches when you try to drive the car and went to fit the backs and i cant get them to fit. looked at the box and they said polo 6n can some one tell me if they do fit and its just me being an idiot and cant fit them lol.

i thought so, they are saying i have the right suspension. but if i had the right ones i wouldnt be having problems.

if anyone has some hottuning/TA tech coilovers can you check the stamp on the coilovers mine read.

must be a 16v gti lol

VW01H = Rear
VW02V = Front

well the 6n suspension is same as ibiza i think

i shall be changing the height tomorrow dan, so will have a look
email edwin, telling him what happened

what do you mean you can't get the rear's on?
and what do you mean catches on the front?

I've emailed them and they checked the part numbers and said they should be right, asked what the problems are and then just said that they don't know what the problem is because they should fit.

Saying they should fit is fine but they really don't fit. The fronts catch on the wheels meaning it is undriveable and the rear's are too short so they just won't fit lol.

have you adjusted the camber on the front mate? (just loosen the bolts on front strut where they go on the hub, and pull the hub towards you, you will see it pivots, thats how the camber is adjusted) then tighten in that position

and on the rear get another jack underneath the hub and jack it up, it's because your rear beam is used to longer struts, i had to do that on mine mate

I have adjusted the camber on the front by pulling the hub because i had to do that on my pre-facelift, Could that be the reason why the steering wheel is sitting to the left and when i let go it turns right?

I don't understand how it can touch on the front strut? You sure it is?
Steering left is probably due to not having the same height on each corner, and I would get tracking re-done when lowered

Did you manage to get the rear shocks on in the end?

No, tried to fit them today with your advice about the jack, they've gone on but the strut sticks out the top and i can push the whole of the suspension down from the top of the strut in the boot. Now they're stuck and i'm going to have to destroy the rubber mountings just to get them off and I really don't know what to do.
They seriously can't be the right coilovers.
Did u manage to get the part numbers off your coilovers?

they are sticking out as you have over tightened the bolt on the top i think, loosen it abit, and it should go down

sorry mate, it has been absolutely pissing it down here, wanted to do it yesterday, didn't finish work til late

i would loosen the top bolt on the rears and it should be fine :D

i have fixed it now lol but...... one of the fronts has a fault wont let me raise or lower, just waiting for them to send me out another one (i hope)

strut brace ordered and getting camber and tow done when im off work, windscreen being done on tuesday.
