yeah rather than matte, im going semi gloss

Be carefull of semi gloss , make a sample on a piece of old metal before trying it on your car. i made a sample and really disliked it.

you can go satin which is around 20% gloss but still , i doubt if the results with a reducer will be good enough.

why not buy matte clear coat ?

The picture of the maserati isnt matt black its Satin black which is much better IMO

it is full matte, even my car in the sun has the exact same gloss. satin black looks fine in pics , soso in reality , i have made numerous color samples at different gloss levels.

Good choice of wheel! The BBS LM suits virtually any car!

thank you , i am going to paint the center the same color as the car and the lip will be polished.

also the back will be wider at 9 width and the front will be at 8

i'll stick with the dupont, after seeing the results of the debeers on yours, matte looks too dull, and streaky like you say im actually going inbetween matte and semi, but dont know what to call it haha

i think it is to each his own.

i have done several tests at different gloss levels and i like the matte the best.

vinyl really doesn't look the same as paint , i have tested the 3m matte black which is the best you can get.

if you do something , really better to do it all the way.
vinyl would have been my choice for this finish personally.. more durable than a matt black paint finish will be (susceptable to scratching etc)

matte black when used from rattle cans will scratch, the clear coats were talking about are specifically designed to dull down offering all the propperties of normal full gloss clear just dull, thus you get uv and scratch resistancy. the plus point of vynal is you can remove it lol
