You can't just change the bulbs, they have coloured plastic lenses inside the lights you have to remove if you want them clear. They look **** standard!

Half the lenses removed

I used a whole can on my lights, sounds to me like you need to do a few more coats

i thought so too, so I bought another can. I've now had 2 cans of foiltec (albeit over the 4 parts of the rear lights) and still can't get rid of the green. Can I ask where you got your bulbs from? mine are a random ebay job

ebay jobbies as well, to be honest i had an ever so slight tinge of green on the stripy reflector parts but you could only see it in dusk conditions close up, if you stand back they look completely orange...are you just being fussy?

Wish I was being fussy mate, if it was a minor bit of green I would have let it slide, but it's quite a bit of green, and it gives the coppers another excuse to have a go.

I think it's because I started off with clear lexus (i know, i know) lights, may be something to do with the way the reflector is inside the light casing. Might have to take it apart, but it seems like so muc more trouble than it's worth.

Your hella's are coming along nicely though, why did you spray the originals and then get the clear hellas if you don't mind me asking?

And out of curiousity (in case I totally F up the one's I've just sprayed), how much would you be selling your old ones for?

c3ljg i'd agree with you but in person the clear hellas really do look so much better...in pics they just dont look right...the all reds looked good too though, if the cupra was slammed to the floor with some dish i'd probably go all red for a more clean euro look

The cars unfortunately been sold to a mate, wasnt planned but i decided to cut my loses before spanking 3k+ on engine work on an already stupidly fast FWD car..

thanks anyway for the offer of polishing the lights etc.. was really kind of you

as for the all red lights, i've still got them, will be selling them when i've finished the drivers side one as i stripped it because they were uneven.. drop me a PM if anyone wants them
