hello to everyone here.
First off i have had my leon for over 2 years now and done absolutely nothing to it .
before i bought her i had a subaru impreza sti only for 6 months it was a spur of the moment thing and thought well why not you only live one enjoy yourself while you can .Any way put her through a mot and sold her on  .
Then comes along my new or 2005 plate cupra r and to be honest this it not a car i looked at and thought this is for me . But when test driving the car i was pleasently surprised !! i could pull very nice indeed ( mind i came from a 329 bhp subaru) .

s
So now here i am over 2 years later and my mot is nearly up and time for some new disks and pads so i am thinking she is getting on abit time to spruce her up .

Don,t get me wrong here i thought i would start this thread while i make some miner mods and changes to the car won,t be putting any bank breaking mods on the car £1000 pounds exhaust £600 front mounted intercooler etc some of us cant aford to splash this kind of money on a car every month or 2 (not that i wouldnt if i could though  ).

anyway here we go.

mods of today .

fabia rear wiper .

pics as of now

car before i went cupra r

the cupra as she sits now

my bucket list of parts i have .

new standard back disks £45
2 new drop links ( started clunking in the front) £20
rear new mintex pads £15
1 fabia rear wiper cap ( don,t know what happend to the old one £5.00
all new r badges £15
power flex dogbone mount £20
front brake pads brembo £35
green cotton air filter £50

as for all the above the only thing i have done is put the badges on lol . going to make it a day and fit the rest when i get the other parts i need listed below .

front brake disks grooved £?
2 new front tyres any help for decient tyres appreciated £100 ish per tyre
007p forge valve
silicone tip ( do i really need to pay £180 for a badger5 tip ) when i have seen tips for £60 an upwards on ebay ) would one of them suit my needs for a stage 1 tune .
for before my tune up new coil packs and plugs ( looks to me by looking around this site this is a good idea ).
lowering springs weitech prob 40/40 .think this would give me 20 mm drop front and back as again any help appreciated .
and maybe although this is just an afterthought 10 mm spacers for the back.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY THOUGHTS ON MODS WHICH DON,T BREAK THE BANK AND WOULD BENEFIT MY CAR .will be dually noted;)

You are in the same boat as me. Things I have planned for this week (just had the car two weeks)

Skoda fabric rear wiper
New wheel centres (one is missing so went for these http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/330859303373)
New set of mats http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/200923238316?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1

Only other thing I'm going to do is a wheel refurb and a new splitter as mine is broke as I ran over a pheasant the day I bought the car!

only thing you have to measure the centre there are a lot of caps on ebay and it took me a while to take the plunge and buy them . but i got them and they fit nice and snug

your car

what year is your car dave and are the footwells dry only asking as i have recently had a couple of small swimming pools in mine and redone my door seal. Aparrently these cars are bad for this and as its a cheap and easy fix i would get it done before you are driving about in a swimming pool . just a thought

It's on 05. Checked that before I got it and they are dry. Few other issues I need.to sort that I didn't pick.up on though. Front sspeakers don't work and rear washer jet doesn't work. Gonna tackle that one today.

Got my washer working, was disconnected behind boot trim on left hand side. All.working now :) although it was quite wet in there! Speakers are next, not looking forward to pulling the doors apart but pretty sure I need two new speakers, not sure whether to buy oem or aftermarket.

"silicone tip ( do i really need to pay £180 for a badger5 tip ) when i have seen tips for £60 an upwards on ebay )"

You get what you pay for with the badger 5 TIP. Lots of work done perfecting it and loads of positive comments on here. It's certainly on my list and will be replacing the current Forge one the previous owner bought.

"Gains of up to 20bhp have been achieved on stage 1 and 2 software."

N249 is another upgrade worth doing. Costs about a tenner and made a real difference on turbo lag between gear changes with me:
