After ownwership of a Renaultsport Megane 225 cup for the last 7 years i decided on something else, which i wasnt sure what i was going to change to.
I decided on a leon Cupra R which i decided on ordering a brand new one, and visiting the dealers a couple of times and having a few heated discusions......... then walking out swearing never to deal with them again. I phoned back a week later to again try and place an order only to be pushed into buying one car in their current stock. I asked to speak to the manager who then informed me they dont build the current Cupra any more because they are preparing for the newer model.
I then went on the hunt for a nearly new one, which i scoured the whole country then one turned up less than 40 miles from home and a week later i bought this and i still have the Megane.Bit of crap picture i took on my phone.
which came with a Milltek back box which sounds quite nice.
I haven't driven it to much as yet but so far i'm loving it. It doesnt handle as well as the Megane but by heck its alot faster on the straight stuff.
It had it's first war wound a couple of week's when some scrote decided to key the back bumper which i'm hoping might fix without a respray.
Then for my other toy which i bought 18 months ago which has been an unforgetable experience more bad than good mainly due to unknown owners modifications having to be ironed out.
My Fireblade powered Toniq R 900
When i first took it out it was one of the fastest thing i have driven but until i took it out the second time the propshaft gave at 70 mph which destroyed the engine. I went onto buy a second cheap engine off Egay which turned out to be a lemon and then ended up buying a third engine.
I bought the third off a bike powered car guru at AB Performance called Andy Bates and kindly supplied me with a mechanical paddle shift incorporated with a Trickshifter which allows flatshift clutchless up shifts and downshifts.
