After ownwership of a Renaultsport Megane 225 cup for the last 7 years i decided on something else, which i wasnt sure what i was going to change to.

I decided on a leon Cupra R which i decided on ordering a brand new one, and visiting the dealers a couple of times and having a few heated discusions......... then walking out swearing never to deal with them again. I phoned back a week later to again try and place an order only to be pushed into buying one car in their current stock. I asked to speak to the manager who then informed me they dont build the current Cupra any more because they are preparing for the newer model.

I then went on the hunt for a nearly new one, which i scoured the whole country then one turned up less than 40 miles from home and a week later i bought this and i still have the Megane.Bit of crap picture i took on my phone.

which came with a Milltek back box which sounds quite nice.
I haven't driven it to much as yet but so far i'm loving it. It doesnt handle as well as the Megane but by heck its alot faster on the straight stuff.
It had it's first war wound a couple of week's when some scrote decided to key the back bumper which i'm hoping might fix without a respray.

Then for my other toy which i bought 18 months ago which has been an unforgetable experience more bad than good mainly due to unknown owners modifications having to be ironed out.

My Fireblade powered Toniq R 900

When i first took it out it was one of the fastest thing i have driven but until i took it out the second time the propshaft gave at 70 mph which destroyed the engine. I went onto buy a second cheap engine off Egay which turned out to be a lemon and then ended up buying a third engine.
I bought the third off a bike powered car guru at AB Performance called Andy Bates and kindly supplied me with a mechanical paddle shift incorporated with a Trickshifter which allows flatshift clutchless up shifts and downshifts.

Congrats on the Leon :) Is it mapped? If not it'll go a heck of a lot quicker yet still ;)

That Toniq looks the nuts! That's a proper toy. Rotten luck on the engines but once your there with it, that is some machine. ENJOY!

I've heard a lot of good things about ab performance (if it is who i think it is), a lot of good quality engines come from there. And he's also very good with advice on how to do things better.

I do like the toniq, although i've only ever seen it with car engines. I bet a bike engine is great fun!

The bike engined car looks ace, I have been after something similar since getting rid of my bike!

Leon is a great car out the box but the map just gives it that but more, so it's a must.

Need more pics of both please :)

About time you posted up on here!

You will have a few locals agreeing with you on the local dealer by the way - I ended up buying the actual car the local dealer could have supplied for a few grand less down in London and have never ever regretted it.

If you fancy a run in a tuned Leon, there are several people on your doorstep who I am sure would help you out with a demo and from experience, I know a well sorted Leon will give your track car a run for its money :)

Anyway, nice job - hopefully we can organise a meet at some point and maybe get a chance to meet you and both these machines.

Al :)

Thank's for the comments.:D

A passenger ride in a tuned Leon would be good as i'm not 100% sure which way i was going to go with it........meet would be a good idea. A remap is on the cards in the new year. So far the power chase has been on hold as with driving my caddy on a daily basis the Leon is going to feel fast every time i get into it. I'll post a few more pic's when i get time to wash it.

The Toniq on the other hand is kinda off the road as soon as i see the first Gritter of the winter. it's kinda in bit's on stands at the moment, as the hose conectors to a oil pressure switch had the wrong sized threads forced together by one of the previous owners resulting in an oil leak.i have a couple of cracking pictures from a charity photo shoot for mission motorsport, which i was invited to helping injured soldiers get into motorsport......but i'm in them which might offend your eyes.:)
