Hey guys!, love my cupra to bits! Purchased it a couple of months ago then I found a Boost leak! :/ so instead of patching it up
like a normal person, I designed and made a hard pipe/hose kit all the way around from turbo outlet to turbo inlet! and threw in
a EGR delete whilst I was at it! On the bottom pipe I found out it went flat and restricted so doing this was very pleasing :) -
after this I decided to upgrade the intercooler, even though the seat sports intercooler is already fantastic I opted for one with
a 70mm upgraded core! - after this I noticed the intake, where the MAF sensor is its 80mm but follow it back towards the turbo
and again another weakness it goes flat!! So I had to take it out and design a intake kit too, to take out the rubbish pipe and create my own
that goesa healthy size back to the 80mm towards the end. All the vacuum lines are important and have also been replaced by silicone hoses.

Here are some pics below, lot of money and work went into it thus far lol

Next step...

Full stainless exhaust system with turbo back downpipe!

Boost gauge!

I am selling EGR to side intercooler kits for the PD130 PM me if interested.

Cheers,

how did you go about designing and making the pipe kit?

got an ibiza cupra tdi myself and found a fair few boost leaks so wanted to see about doing this to mine

did you just buy some generic pipes and then cut and position them appropriately?

Hey! Yea noisy leaks are a pain you have to have the right type of mind to do it if that makes sense and
A lot of patience ! I started by visually having a look, hacking car got my notepad and sketched my new
Path I was making, then chose a size, then measured and cut to fit, spent quite a lot to make it what it is!
I'm pleased to say it's made a noticeable change in throttle response!

Hello,

I have recently bought a Ibiza TDI sport and really enjoy the ride. Abit bumpy at times but can't really complain.

The other day I had to ring AA as it refused to start up. It has happened twice before in the last month. It can take up to an hour or more to start up when it does not start first time. A yellow Amber light comes on with a car sign with a key in the middle. Can anyone help in regard to what it can be and how to rectify it?

It sounds like the immobiliser is playing up as the car starts for a quick second then just turns off.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

I have this same issue, its a problem with the early sports that came with the 6 dial clocks. Theres a trick which is to push the clopcks in at the 120MPH point at the same time you start it. this pushes the connection tight :)

Hello veyron,

Thanks for quick reply, just seen you live in Birmingham I am in Wolverhampton.

I am confused when you say press to 120mph. Push what? Would u have to take the plastic screen off first then push the speedo dial towards 120mph?

My temp gauge is also playing up, always showing max. But engine not heating up. Mechanic said I need a new speedo unit:think:.

Yeah push the plastic cover by the 120mph mark as you turn the key, no need to take anything off.

Yeah they all fail eventually the 6 dial clocks if you google it there's loads of people with it. Most say to replace with standard 4 dial speedo but you need it coding in so I haven't bothered!

Yeah live in great barr near to walsall

Oh ok so just press the 120mph mark on the screen and turn key the same time.

I will try it next time it plays up.

Thanks mate

I have been searching and some posts say you need to resolver the pins which are located behind the dials. Maybe the connection is behind the 120mph mark hence it works for you.

Thanks again

Yeah I understand what you mean. I will try what you said next time it doesn't start. If it don't start then will prob try the soldering.

Will let you know with results.

Haha thank you ! I'm gpong to hydro dip the rocker box cover to carbon and make a battery cover and do it to that too!

Bought a seat sports style cooler with upgraded 70mm core. And I sourced a large red universal filter that wasn't oil based. Love it!

Hey, well both have there advantage! But for this particular type of car
And the layout I defo advise the double. They both produce similar types
Of results and it was designed this way for a reason, they best results for
Throttle response and torque concerning intercoolers is always best to
Have the most direct and shortest distance with as little bends and the
Double design allows this. Plus mine has an larger 70mm core.
