the starter solonoid is the cyclindrical thing on the top of the motor with an electrical connection on it

PROBLEM IS NOW SORTED,,,

i had a right result last night, i called out a 24hour mobile mechanic to come and fit a new starter motor at about 8pm last night,

he came round and fitted it but it still wouldnt start, after about 2 hours of him testing all my connections in my car to try and figure out why it wasnt starting he decided that i must be an electrical problem and he wouldnt be able to fix it, so he charged me £30 for the starter he had fitted and drove away, (£30 for a starter motor is cheap),

i then decided that maybe the battery was flat so i pushed t out into the road and jump started it and it fired up straight away,

so i took it for a drive to charge the battery and now it starts first time every time off the key,

so in the end i paid £30 for a starter motor, fitted, on my driveway at 8pm last night:funk::funk:

So the mechanic took 2hrs to diagnose a starter motor, and swap it (3 bolts) but couldn't identify a flat battery?

Just as well you didn't ask him to do a difficult job like check the oil level
