Hi

I had ago of trying the N249 bypass and was wondering if i've done it right?

Still using the standard dump valve for the being and the dump valve is louder and a different tone but it has helped.

Cheers

You put a resistor if you do a complete removal, the the resistor goes across the plug to trick the ecu into thinking it's all still there. This goes for the N249, N112 & SAI

Retty sure you only need the resistor on the lcr tho not lc ;) an the op's engine is lc ;)

Correct for removal you need resister, for bypass you dont

You sure the LC needs it? I don't think mines got the resistor?? And it's completely removed  I don't get s code for it ;) the bypass allows you to contol the dump and has proven to give a smoother boost curve ;)

I removed the whole lot on my LCR this weekend. I get a P17695 code (I think) which is "Boost Pressue [something something] malfunction" which is the N249. I used to get the P17608 code which was the same but "Open Circuit" after doing the bypass but leaving the N249 solenoid in. Doesn't bring up the EML or have any bad effect :)
