N75 help!!

I noticed my car was down on boost the other day (18 psi instead of the usual 22psi) so just had a look under the bonnet. Where the charge pipe has the small hose that goes to the n75 valve had popped off so i put it back on and the car wouldnt boost at all! So i blanked it off and now it hits 22psi everytime, i'm just wondering if this is dangerous?? Any help would be really appreciated!

no, blanking it off is not the way to go.

if its really dead get a new one.
