No, I mean in noise, the turbo makes a fluttering sound because the N75 valve is not working correctly on boost. This can give an indication that you N75 is nackerd, well it did with mine. You also get a lack of pull in the high rev range which also indicates the N75 is dyeing.

E valve will be fine on the AUQ. I have one on my AUQ'd Octavia.

I had to replace the original valve (F), as I was getting surging under boost. The car would overboost, then underboost, then overboost over and over agian. Fitting a new valve fixed the problem, as recommended by a certain tuner/mapper who's company name has a sea creature in the name (forum filters the name).

As the valve gets older, the plastic and rubber insode it begins to deteriorate and slows down the valves operation. This causes the engine to overboost as the valve doesn't open quickly enough, then underboost as it doesn't close quickly enough etc etc.

You can't 'properly' test it with a 12v power supply, as it runs on a duty cycle, so pulses on and off a lot of times per second. Connecting a 12v supply will make the valve click, but you can't tell if it is operating fast enough.
