Ask sone people on here as they have upgraded there standard F to a J somewone might have one for sale cheap. Seat are pretty cheap too.
 
You can fix it by yourself :D It's just a matter of cleaning it. Take off the white part (just cut the metal ring), take off red gasket and clean the little piston that is in the middle of the red gasket (that which was removed). Inject some cleaner there (I use WD-40 but don't know if available in UK) and push it up and down. Do it several times. Then put it all together and glue the white part with black together (I use so called 'super glu' it dries v. fast).
