You will all be aware I finally picked up my new ST Cupra on Saturday - yippee!!

I have made mention of this in my review, but thought I'd raise a dedicated thread here.

The only thing that is spoiling the experience sofar and only ever so slightly is that I haven't been able to work out how to be heard on the hands free bluetooth!

The phone book has downloaded fine, favourites all set, phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 3) is paired ok and makes calls out just fine - I can hear the person I am calling crystal clear, just that they can't hear me - Conal, from the Forum, has been most helpful to me in trying to diagnose the issue, for which I gratefully pass on my thanks, but unfortunately the issue still persists - I even tried pairing another phone (iphone 5), but no difference. Tried toggling the mic button on and off and made no difference, so may be a visit to my local dealer in York, though I'm hoping someone on the Forum may be able to help?

Anyone else had this experience?

Yes that's a good point re voice commands - I did try this briefly and wasn't successful, but didn't know if that was because I hadn't followed the instructions which I am still reading - does voice commands need to be fully set up first to recognise my voice before Bluetooth phone will work or do I just have a duff microphone?

I would say if the voice recognition is not working then either the Mic is faulty/not plugged in or turned off

Thanks for the honourable mention Andy, it was no trouble. Hope that you had a good drive back from Brighton and that you get the mic problem sorted soon.
Good week for the pan roof!

I made received my first call when driving the other day. Call started fine but quickly found the caller saying "hello, can you hear me"
It was intermittent until they hung up :(
Why does my daddy not love me enough

Thanks for this - are you able to make voice commands ok, as I can't which seems to lead me to believe I have a faulty microphone.

Yeah voice commands work fine on the sat nav, haven't used them any other time though.

Thanks very much for everyone's advice on this one - much appreciated - looks like an early visit to the local dealer in that case, guess I had to make their acquaintance at some stage, though was hoping it might have been for booking the first service in say 12 months time and not 2 days after buying it - c'est la vie!

Finally got round to taking my new pride and joy into the local dealer in York yesterday.

They did a while you wait appointment and diagnosed it needs a new microphone, which they ordered straight away and will be fitting at 1pm today, again while I wait, so let's hope it works, so that I can use the bluetooth phone and try some voice commands - deep joy!

Hands-free Bluetooth now works!

New microphone fitted under warranty - dealer DM Keith of York turned the job around in 24hrs flat, so overall impressed with SEAT after-sales service - honourable mention should go to Andrew in the Service Dept who went the extra mile for me!

Nice to here some positive info about SEAT cust service, I knew there had to be another good dealer or two out there as well as the one I use.
