Hi,

I'm having an issue with my 2020 Leon, the controls on the steering wheel have stopped working as of yesterday on both sides of wheel and also noticed the paddle shifters are also not working, i have tried to locate the fuse which from looking online seems to be fuse number 9 (not sure if that's the correct fuse but it seemed ok), I've read about clock spring failures and people mention horn not working and airbag light, i don't have any airbag light on and also horn works fine, but could it still be the clock spring?

Is anyone able to help me locate the correct fuse to make sure I've checked the right one or what else might be the issue?

many thanks for any help/advise.

There is a plug inside the steering wheel, under/behind the airbag, specifically for the steering controls and shifters that could have come undone, check that before ordering a clockspring.

Cheers for the info, do you know if removing the steering wheel / air bag to get access to the plug is easily enough done ?
Thanks

I took some pictures not too long ago for an upgrade I did, so this probably comes in handy now. Put your key in ignition position, then disconnect the battery. Turn the wheel and push down on the spring (on both sides) and the airbag pops out.

You dont need to disconnect the airbag, you have enough room to look around/work on it.

Is that the cable in your pic that I’m needing to check and see if it’s loose / disconnected ? So the actual steering wheel doesn’t need removed ?

Thanks

Andy being snap happy is not only always welcome as he takes great pics but the plug is in clear view too!

Also check the earths on the airbag itself as the switches use the same earth wire as the horn and airbag and they have been known to work their way off the poles.
