I am gonna take this opportunity to share with you that to my absolute amazement and surprise, I am still running on the same MAF as the one I bought it with.

Would have expected it to have gone long ago, but been lucky so far.

Will probably go soon, now that I have played with the devil

i got a powertec one from AMD and its very MAF friednly been on th car ages no nasty problems.
although that intake pipe is a total ******* to fit took me hour to get it in there then find out my filter dont fit in my anger i just ripped it straight back out how much do you seriously need to cut the pipe down by?

Powertec MAF friendly i think not. Mess type filters are very poor for filtration so your MAF will be covered in ****, its only a matter of time before it goes fully.

Cotton Gauze filters are the best ones to have lads, cant believe how much you gamble with cheap ass filters. You buy a cupra cos you want a quality car so why would you scrimp on filter???

I know what your saying (as i spent £200 on a pipercross viper which was s*** -ate mafs every other month sometimes within weeks) but its like buying a pair of jeans-go matalan and but a decentish pair for £20 or go Republic and buy G-star for £90-both do same thing both good material but ones got the name G-star that makes it more expensive-half the time i think your just paying for the brand.....

My Opinion this is.... :)

Apexi have been known to make cars that run MAF sensors run poor so would stay away from them myself. Just make sure its a good quality Cotton Gauze type filter when choosing a new one. Id highly recommend the Jetex filters as they are made by JR which are the filters Jabba Sport use so you know they are very good

Ha ha, get your wallet out!!

Well I've been working every bloody day for the last 2 months so I'm having a bit of a spend up :)
