need help with my lights hope someone can help.

hi all, i have a 1.4 ibiza se copa. It has the auto lights and have tried flashing the lights and then opening car door and they take 20 ish seconds to go off.. however i am wondering can you unlock the car in the dark and the lights come on.. the lights are always set on auto but this never happens but a friend of mines golf does it. looks real good. any ideas?

As far as I am aware it's just when your getting out

really bugs me because i would have thought the golfs are pretty muchset up same way and have same computers with being the whole seat vw audi skoda thing..thanks anyhow mate.

Is it model specific then, mine come on when unlocking in the dark?

There is an option in vagcom called leaving home lights (which is what your looking for) if that option was enabled it might work.

I've got the same model and mine turn on when I unlock in the dark

You need to enable it via VCDS for leaving home lights
