New anti-roll bar?

Went to get a new exhaust fitted on the weekend as it needed doing and one of the brackets was broke anyway.

Now thats what i thought was causing the knocking..

But after they took it for a spin they said i need a new anti-roll bar?

Knocking is coming from around the middle of the car when going over bumps etc..

They said around £45 for a new one, does that sound fair?

Btw its a 1.6 SE

I have a front ARB sat in my garage, as I put neuspeed ones on, its was off a 1.9 TDI FR, but if it will fit (somone confirm?) i'm sure we could come to some agreement!

its louder than the one standard one i had before but not as loud as these chavs with their 1L corsa and about 4 exhausts

cant see how the bar would knock, unless the bushes are worn the you just need new bushes and not a bar.
is it bent from something as thats the only way you would need a new one and if it was how is it banging ?seems odd that you need a bar to me , new bushes or links are normal but a bar is a bar .
