Thought I would post some pics of my new BBS CK 19" Wheels wrapped in Toyo T1R's.

Apologies for the poor picture quality, they were taken with my mobile for quickness.. It poured with rain all day last Saturday when I was fitting them.

I will post some better quality pics once the weather fairs with my camera.

Overall I very pleased with the wheel package and would recommend them to anyone.

Also a big thanks to all those who helped me make my decision.

1) Offset 44
2) Width 8"
3) 235/35/19 Toyo T1R's

Price £1560 @ Rimstyle

I doubt you will get them a the same price as they are really struggling with the Euro Exchange Rate. I bought them on 24th October and waited until 9th December (Nearly 7 Weeks) to receive them.

I had originally ordered them with the Vredestein Ultra Sessanta's like Zboyd's. It's a long story and I ended up paying an extra £60 to get the Toyo's as the Vredestein's were not available for quick delivery.

Look great Ricky. Good choice ;)

Well worth getting some Wheel Sealant, not only does it really help gloss up painted wheels it helps stop the brake dust sticking and makes them easier to clean.

I gave mine a good coat before I put them on the car, but I top it up every few months.

BBS are really well manufactured, but a little added protection is well worth it. :)

Thanks Zboyd!

I did give them a coat of Carbana Wax as that's what I though would polish them up nicely.

My friend was suppose to order me some Wheel Wax or Rim Wax which is suppose to be a thicker substance than normal polishes made for cars.

There's no worries of the wheels getting the coated in brake dust as my car is rarely dirty:funk::funk:

My Milltek Cat-Bak is getting fitted tomorrow, so I looking forward to a nicer sound than the Cupra currently has.:whistle:

maybe a daft question but does having 19" wheels affect anything with the mpg? as in, does the computer get confused as their bigger wheels? Does the abs auto flat tyre thing get confused again for the bigger sized wheels?

Cheers!

Look really nice mate!

As long as you get the correct size of tyre, the speedo is at the most only out by less than 1mph.

MPG is slightly affected but nothing that extreme that you would really notice it, my computer still appears to read correctly.

Tyre pressure monitor is based on rolling circumference, but you set your pressures and then on a level surface reset the pressure monitor by holding down the button in the centre console for a moment it works as before.

It works by monitoring wheel speed, and you have to tell it when its tyres are set at the right pressures. If the tyre loses pressure then the wheel speed is affected and the pressure monitor alarm will sound.

is there any pics of 19" wheels from side on, do they fill the arch better? I clicked the link in your sign zboyd and the back wheel looks nice and tight, but the front looks like theres a big gap , it may just be the angle? Is yours lowered?

Suspension is still stock on mine, it will be getting coilovers at some point in the New Year. However never like them dialled down into the weeds. Though I appreciate what people see in a lowered car I prefer handling and ride to improve. Neither of which improve with little suspension travel and very short stiff springs.

At most I'll only be looking at a 15 - 25mm drop max when I switch to coil-overs.

It's not on a level surface in the pics i've taken so it's a bit misleading but they fill the arches well.

Here's another few angles.

one thing if i remeber correctly changes if you put bigger wheel on is the 0-60 times or is it max speed?
cant remember which 1 it is , some one will correct me which 1 it is , im sure its the 0-60 will get slower but only by a fraction.

Smaller wheels aid acceleration, larger ones give a higher top end but decrease acceleration. Larger wheels can also make the ride harder and cause tram-lining under torquesteer.

But the differences are pretty marginal really, I've certainly noticed little difference in performance, the ride is a little harder but the Leon's chassis doesn't appear to be phased by a larger wheel. It has made the tram-lining effect no worse than it was with 18's.

Harder ride will also have something to do with lower profile tyres that you need to maintain the rolling radius on larger wheels , its just one of the concessions in having bigger wheels.
