Just wanted to give a little feedback on these guys.........

Ordered 2 x Barum Bar Bravuris FR (225/45/17 - W) from tyre shopper.

Easy to use site, & I found the prices to be superb (prices quoted inc fitting, old tyre disposal, balancing & new valves).

Ordered online & picked a local fitting centre to get fitted a few days later at the weekend.

I got a phone call from them on the Thursday to tell me that they couldn't get any to my chosen fitting centre til Monday, so can I re-book for Tuesday. Bit of a pain as I work full time, but I sorted it out with work that I would be a bit late coming in.......

Got to the garage at 8:35 on the Tuesday, only to be told that they have not received my tyres [:@]

The bloke in the garage was really helpful though & phoned My Tyres who had no record of booking me in on the Tuesday, and that I should have waited for a call when the tyres were available. They said the tyres "might" be on the delivery wagon & to phone the delivery driver to see if they are.

Quick call to the delivery driver got a response of "phone My Tyres......"

As there was not much I could do, I went home & said I'd ring the garage back that afternoon to see of they had been delivered. Anyway to cut a long story short, they were delivered that afternoon & I had them fitted - garage was great & done them as soon as I arrived that afternoon (again, meaning I had to sort it with work).

Needed them doing asap as they were highly illegal.

I asked the guy at the garage if I should go directly through him next time, so he had a look on the computer & priced the tyres up.....

Local garage - £190 for 2

My Tyres - £122 for 2

Saving of £78 on 2 tyres...

So just a heads up on this company, I suppose most of the time these things get sorted ok, but they p!ssed me about. I wouldn't use them again, but they are so cheap.........I cant win lol

As for the tyres, only had them a day, but already a marked improvement, I'll let you know how they do when I have bedded them in, but seems like a really good inexpensive performance tyre (voted best mid-rage tyre by AutoExpress).

I've got a pair of these tyres too (from mytyres) as a stop gap while I finish the car

But they're pretty good - decent wet grip, which is what I wanted

About 3 or 4, and a phone quote to a different local garage.

How come, are they cheaper elsewhere ?

Didn't want supersoft tyres that will wear out in 5k miles........
