New cat needed not the furry kind.

Called the AA out as engine management light came on again but engine was fine. No blown coil pack but when he plugged if in code po420 came up which is the cat converter . Basically I need a new one . Can you get a sport cat ? Or just standard ? I've never replaced one so don't have a clue ... Or how much they are ? Do I need new exhaust bit aswell ?

Unless you're planning serious engine upgrades, I wouldn't bother with a Sports Cat just go for a normal one.

Hopefully you'll just need the Cat which depending on year will be in manifold or separate.
