I want to love it... but it'll never grab headlines

It'd need to be something more than the 'other' models
eg:
Megane R26R - roll cage, plastic bonnet & windows, semi slicks
Focus RS - Wide arches, 300bhp, aero package
Mazda 3 MPS - 4WD, lots of power etc

Cupra R - much the same as the one below it.

I'm not saying that it needs 4WD, wide arches or semi slicks.... but something would be good

Mazda is FWD. But looks epic. Unlike the cupra R. I'm sure the mechanicals are limited by VW hierarchy but this car car has been restyled by the man who used to pen lambos. Should have done better.

Actually I feel this is abit harsh. I really like the way it looks, however if i were to spend the extra money on this I'd want more than 25 bhp and an R badge.

Furthermore, the complete standard equipment line-up found on the new SEAT León CUPRA R can be complemented with the Technology Plus package, including Bi-xenon headlights + AFS, daytime driving lights, SEAT Media System satellite navigation system, Bluetooth and front parking sensors + Optical Park System.

So how much do we reckon for this additional pack for it?

Sorry about the censoring to the media site - sometimes we've been caught out with embargoed information & images appearing ahead of time

So when are we likely to see these in dealers?

Will dealers have them for test drive, or will it be order without a drive???

Test a Cupra with a reasonable sized passenger, then kick them out to get an idea of the difference with him onboard and with him out. The chances are that this difference when added to the Cupra will equate to the Cupra R ;)

Not sure if that will add up Al , according to EVO this month the Cupra R has a different ecu , new exhaust system , new intercooler (s3 i rekon) and xds system also says different turbocharger ?, i can see where you are going with the weight thing but i think the Cupra R on paper delivers in a different way to just the difference of 1 fat bloke

I doubt it. SEAT press releases are dubious at best.
