So i finally got to check the suspension today after having problems taking off the jacking point covers cause someone bolted them in but the bolt holding them in was round but i got it out in the end , tried rocking the wheels side to side , up and down no play or anything unusual which is surprising , i will try to put the front end in jack stands and have someone turn the steering wheel for me while the wheels are in the air so hopefully it'll be clear where the sound is coming from didnt have anyone to do it for me today.

On another note i wanted to ask whether these cars have a limited slip diff or not? Cause im getting a lot of torque steer even tho the tyres are all pretty much new , i blame the suspension issue for now and i know a fwd will naturally do this but obviously i want it to be at its minimum.

No LSD as standard

My car doesn’t really torque steer, maybe a tiny bit but not violently like described

I’m not sure what could cause torque steer

I thought they do come with a LSD , it doesnt torque steer if i apply full throttle gradually but if i go full throttle quickly i do get ts a lot which is one more thing that makes me believe the car has had a remap cause my brother has a cupra180 with the k03s turbo modified to around 220bhp and his doesnt ts as much even tho his tyres are worse then mine.

They have electronic limited slip diff but not a mechanical one, I think it uses the brakes or something haha

I’ve got crappy budget tyres on mine atm and mine feels fine?

I found a thread about what the boost should be on stock bam engine so will check what the boost is on mine but i need to either relocate the boost gauge or find some sort of frame to hold it in place as its just laying below the ashtray its loose so i cant even see the display while im driving need someone to hold it for me or to check it ,id rather just have it instead of the air vent on the right nicely fixed , will have to find out how to relocate it.

Alright so i had my partner check the boost for me while i gave it full throttle and she's 100% sure the boost gauge was showing 21-22psi , i read somewhere that they run at 20psi max with a remap is that correct? If so then isnt 22psi a bit toomuch on the k04 turbo?

BTW went to ATS today to get the wheel alignment checked but they say the can't check as its a sport suspension they can only do non sport models? So they advised i go to kwik fit but to be honest i went there once and i had to go back twice cause they got it wrong 2 times the steering wheel was not center and the mechanics looked like they dont know what they're doing but i guess i have no other option , on the other hand they didnt have a problem dealing with the complaint and got it done without any drama.

Use google to find someone who will do it

Never heard that before about the sports suspension haha

The suspension isn’t very complex on these cars hahaha

I know i was surprised myself but i think what scared them was that the car looks so low so it may have been lowered , then their system would not have an accurate reading propably?

If the car is lowered then yeah fair enough but if it’s still sat on standard suspension there should be no excuse haha

I got mine done yesterday no problems

Depending on where you live , there are always independent specialists that can do wheel alignment, but yes quite a few will refuse to do lowered cars. Its a bit like the major argument I had with a national tyre fitting company about fitting brand new tyres to the rear and older tyres on the front.

There's one specialist in my area but i went there once with brand new track rod ends installed just before i went to him and he tells me they're too tight he cant adjust the toe so went to ATS and they've done it without a problem i always used ATS never had a problem with them to be honest. Ill give kwik fit a second chance hopefully they'll do better this time.
