anyway new timing gear fitted was a nightmare to remove the bolt 24" breaker bar finally did the job
rebuilt head bolted bown and torqed up
plastic impelar water pump was still good. Ecs ultimate timing belt kit fitted
top veiw
new aux drive belt
lol that rocker cover aint staying lol its a spare while get the other polished . Discoverd a tear in my stock tip so thought ide upgrade to this
the size
its a beast exelent qaulity best tip ive seen thanks to bill at badger5 rapid delivery to
if alls good with new gasket ill run it for 5 min then drop the oil take sump off check pick up pipe for any bits of crap that have got in then refit new oil and filter . Strip mani off clean everythin fit all new blue hoses thoughout catch can pcv delete etc then that should be it for now
i will be repainting front and rear calipers and gauds . Ill be doin the big clean up on the car when its totally repaired . Im having a absolute nightmare with the exhaust mani to turbo just cant stop it blowing sounds like a tractor ive used genuine gasket from seat and still it blows its driving me mad im gonna end up pulling the head off again to sort this out which i really dont wanna do more expence for head gasket and bolts
coming from somwhere in this area i have a crank seal so gonna have to get the casing that unbolts god nos where im gonna get one of them if anyone has any idea where to get one let me no
you can see the oil in the bottom of the casing lucky i spotted this strait away before oil got all over the new cam belt i seen i tiny bit of oil in the cam belt cover where it had flicked off the leading edge of the belt but not a lot so should be ok so now i got to find a front crank shaft seal flange only one i could find was this off a ayp year 2000 tt bein a 2005 bam dont no if they are identical but would have thought so both being 1.8t. Bad thing is i now have to take the car apart again
gone from this to this
degreaser then all rinsed and dryed
also cleaned the whole bay

came out well i think also pinched the charge pipe off my cupra gave it a polish and polished my 007p too
just need my polished mani and rocker to turn up then i can start detailing the bay proply while im waiting for the crank seal flange to turn up. Also serviced my 007p
. One other thing cant decide which dv to fit
i no the 007 is a better dv as ive heard the split r can leak and i also know these 1.8t engines dont like none or part recerc. Oh and the misses got me a present so couldnt resist tryin it out
couldnt beleive it when she turned up home with a huge jet wash lol
see total wrong angle dont no how this is happening seen pics of them fitted so they do go somehow anyway left it out for now
also fitted couple of shinny bits polished charge pipe porsh oil and coolant caps i think its comin on well just need my polished rocker cover and mani to turn up will be lookin sweet as then
wiring exposed and out of tray
bits removed
