Few more bits have turned up this is tomorrows job finally get that crank seal and housing leak fixed then the engine should be fully repaired i hope got myself some titan race 5w30 gonna clean out sump just incase any bits got in when i bid the top end rebuild pick up pipe was replace just before the belt failure so ill just clean that . Well at least i can say im gettin there now hope this build thread makes a interesting read for u guys

Catch can arrived only cheap one but will do its job got a nice pile of bits again time to get these fitted will post pics of the before and after need to start on suspension and handling next

To be honest mate theres a full service history but no reference to a cam belt change so may have been original belt car has covered 60k its been serviced religously every year so cant understand why the belt wasnt changed

Todays effort on with coolant hose kitnext up is pcv delete and catch can location preped and then relay rehomed all tucked away ready for can

Well today i fitted my catch can located can where the relay box once was note bracket bent to take can braket. Can fitted new 19ml hose coupled to original oil breather elbow note b5 tip fitted with heat shield and jetex cone decided to put the maf on the inside as it just fits better and puts less stress on the tip. I no the tip and everything else needs cleaning will do that once i get everything as i want it i didnt have time to totally finish the misses wouldnt let me stay out anylonger just not worth tryin to argue my case else its full on lol. Anyway slapped things in place to see the finish result thats why theres a few clips etc missing will put the finishing touches on tomoz but you get the idea comments welcome . I think next i need a turbo to hard pipe elbow in blue i have a couple from my ko3s days but they are to small in diamiter turbo end so gonna get a new one when funds allow already spent a bomb on this car . I have a newspeed strutbrace to add was a bit battered so ive sprayed it red not finished yet though . And tbh after that i cant really think of anything else i can do to my bay ??? . So after ive put my finishing touches to the bay its coilover time polly bushes anti roll bars wheel spacers exhaust fmic but before all this its gonna be a big clean bay finished clean whole car then them bits just mensioned so keep watching for more updates there will be a few and my driving finishes in 6 weeks so i want all things done for then

Changed a few bits in my bay and can say im now done with the bay appart from maybe a change of catch can and i have a strut brace so this is how the bay stands side veiw so now i turn my attention to handling starting with a set of ap coilys and polybush the whole car spacers and rear arb so watch this space for updates

This car may now be for sale lol its still sat off the road as it needs a gearbox and ive not had much luck with it tbh ive lost heart with it

Sad times mate but from experience I would say hang on in there. Had too many projects wondering what if I hadn't sold it. Have a break for a week to re group.

Well got a gearbox has a bit bit of forward and bk play in the main shaft so ordered a shim kit off the bay strippin car in next few days to fit this box then if its ok then happy days if not ill put a match to it lol havent had much luck with this car its only done 60k and has been looked after its in lovly condition in and out the car was 5k i spent 2k on the engine with the head etc its runnin perfect its just the gearbox is nackerd very common on these 02m boxes ive really lost heart with it tbh i was just gonna sell it as is but the mot has now ran out so wouldnt really be able to sell it as is . I put blood sweat and tears and lots of cash into this car and i havent even done 2 miles in it lol im tired what would u lot do in my situation ?
