I am goin to my local dealer on friday and I am hoping to order a new leon fr tdi in either yellow or luna grey(silver). What options should I add and what shud I be looking for a total price. I deffo want bluetooth and cruise.

Thanks

IMO it's well specced as standard. Bluetooth is popular round here as are the 18s. Some people go for xenons as well but i'm not sure they're worth £900!

auto lights and wipers, auto dim rear view in my opinion is a useful must have known as conveniece pack, i think about £195 also 18s alloys look lots better.

luna grey leon fr tdi, conv pack,18s, alu door trim, armrest.

I must agree with what you guys are saying, my TFSI Sport has everything on it from the Spec list except the Xenons, - and I haven't missed them at all, as said earlier, they are no way worth the money.
My fav. option is the bluetooth and convenience pack (dimming mirror, auto light, & auto wipers), - but I do like my armrest too ! :D

If you thought the ride on the Ibiza Cupra was harsh, wait until you try the Leon FR on 18's. I took one out and was bouncing all over the road.

I will take it for a test drive and check it out. I still love my ibiza just a change in circumstances now means I need something bigger. Deffo staying in vag!

Definitely 18's. I dont care about the rest, I dont need bluetooth and you dont need the Xenons, waste of money (you can always buy those +50% lightbulbs from Philips instead, approx £30).

If you can afford all the extras then go for it, I am not interested in all the gadgets personally. I just got the 18's and ipod connector.

Bluetooth: Bigger display. It's not just for bluetooth, it also gives you the large fully featured driver information.

Convienience pack (auto lights, wipers and dimming mirror): Actually came on mine as an option because mine was ex-demo. I used to have this functionality on my focus and I didn't think it was much good. It works alot better on the Leon and I love it. It's worth getting in my opinion.

IPOD connect: Absolutely worthless. The Leon stereo does not support the information being displayed. Burn your MP3s on CD or use your MP3 player through the Aux port.

18's: Always a debate. I personally love myy 18's and I don't find the drive at all crashy. The 17's are a slightly quieter ride but the 18's look awesome and really set the car off!

Side Skirts: An option not mentioned so far. Look at the side skirts thread in this forum, really sets the car off.

Xenons: Had them on the Focus, they are great but expensive. Philips bright bulbs (as mentioned) are close to these.

Agreed with what has been said here.
Must haves:

Bluetooth
18" Alloys
Conveniece Pack
Winter Pack

The first 2 should be must haves.

what price should I be looking at for silver leon fr tdi with bluetooth, convience pack and comfort pack?

cheers

Start by goint to dealnegotiator web site to get a competative price, then take this to your local dealers to see whether they can match.

I did this with the standard FR TDI and got this for £15850 brand spanking new - then added extras at my local dealer (Sheffield Seat Autoworld), all at book prices.

I went for Chrono Yellow, 18", Chrome, Armrest mats and muddys - total £16300

(Would have also had BT, but my company fitting for free when car arrives this next week)

Absolute Bargain IMHO.

Best of luck
Mike

totally disagree with the comments about the xenons. I have them, and they are fantastic, The 2 options i would not be without are Bluetooth - this fantastc, very easy to use and safe too, and you get the bigger display, and the Xenons, they are fantastic, i hardly ever use the main beams, these are my first set, and the output over Standards is phenominal.

My car has most options - 18's, con Pack, Sunroof (a steal at £310!!)IPOD, Winter (comfort), Xenons, BT. but the 2 above are the ones i would pick, The IPOD option is Turbo W**K squared!

Mine is in Luna Grey as well.

Bear in mind the Xenons are also the active type, the beam moves about as tou steer, very nice at dark roundabouts on the A3 at 2 in the morning! also the main beam is Xenon as well. uses the same bulb, but a shroud moves I believe.

I guess we would all like the Xenons, if they were a more realistic price.

I feel SEAT have been a bit silly with the Xenon price when you consider the list price of the car.

Can anyone tell me where I can get these Philips bulbs then ???

How easy is it to change the bulbs on the leon? a matter of just lifting up the bonnet or is a dismantle most of the bumper job?

Here is one link, I am sure there are many bulb companies selling them. You can get the +50% and also +80%, in white and blue.

Thanks Seadragon.
P S ...Love the Candy White motor ! [B)]

Thanks J,

I am so happy with my choice, its a lovely car (even more so since I got it remapped). I researched so many cars but I got another Leon. It feels solid, handles brilliantly etc etc

Good luck with the bulbs, I will be getting some soon. Even with my standard bulbs I get people in the opposite direction flashing me because they think my brights are on when they are not, so I have no complaints but a little extra light doesnt hurt does it.
