New Member Posting Limit

Dear All,

I understand the need for methods of preventing spammers and evil do'ers running riot across internet forums, however I feel the posting limit on the "For Sale" section is too high.

The only way I can talk to a potential seller is by bumping up my post count with random stuff (that no doubt would make me break some other rule).

Needs lowering or removing IMHO.

The reason we put it in place is because 'n00bs' came along & just sold stuff that didn't exist, took money & went awol

that or people just signed up to rape the forum for an advert.

Think he wants to buy rather than sell, so why not just use the other contact details that have to be provided (for this situation) to contact the seller?

Yes, we require all adverts to have some method of contact other than PM so people just like you, or guests can contact sellers

We did this because we got fed up with guests or newbies emailling us admin as go between's

Why can't you just email / call your potential seller?
