. If you are that fussed about looks, buy the diffuser and bootlid spoiler and a Milltek twin exit exhaust.

That link used to be stickied. Dont know why it isnt any more as its really useful.
the long term members here who have had cupras for years and have taken them to stage 2+ etc mostly seem to dismiss the r, id certainly take their views into considertion too, lots of these guys have spent a fortune on their cupras and seem to drive them very little, do yous all have other daily drivers etc? either way they all must have a lot more cash to spare than i do, so id certainly take their advice when thinking about anything like that, its why i joined the site in the first place, but its always your own decision, if you love the car then you love the car, you only live once and you might regret not getting it later
the megane looks great, much nicer than the last model which i had, and renault certainly know how to make hot hatches. companies like k-tec etc will make packages for the rs250 to take it as far as it wil go on the standard turbo, then probably offer conversions after that. will it tune as well as the cupra on oem turbo and internals? i would doubt it, the last megane didnt tune too high on the oem turbo either, it was more on power with the fr tfsi than the cupra.
i can see why the cupra r will sell, because people will always want the 'flagship' model, and it will sell. if i had the money id certainly consider it too, although the long term members here who have had cupras for years and have taken them to stage 2+ etc mostly seem to dismiss the r, id certainly take their views into considertion too, lots of these guys have spent a fortune on their cupras and seem to drive them very little, do yous all have other daily drivers etc? either way they all must have a lot more cash to spare than i do, so id certainly take their advice when thinking about anything like that, its why i joined the site in the first place, but its always your own decision, if you love the car then you love the car, you only live once and you might regret not getting it later
Not to mention the chassis is up to the job.
My car has 36000 miles now, and is used as a daily hack and a toy for racing - it has pretty well every bolt on you can have. I love the car, but I really dont think the R brings anything significant over what I have.
I will most likely be buying a new car soon, and I may consider another Leon, but it would be a Cupra rather than a Cupra R because there is nothing in the Cupra R over the Cupra that makes me want to spend the thousands extra over the Cupra for what is essentially a more sporty looking rear end, some shiny plastic on the seat backs and a couple of R badges.
It would however have been a different story if the much higher price tag included some Brembos, LSD, bespoke styling to the front, 300bhp off the bat and DSG.
Is the MEGANE RS250 3 or 5 door i have seen one in yellow dose look tasty, I hope is better built than the last megane we have a megane cc 2006 and what a load of old s... 35.000 and most off the inside has fell to bits and its not that we dont look after it, body panels made of cardboard one more year and we will be able to get shot of it.
Over priced , over hyped poor built car it 10grand 2 much would much rather have an s3,
