Just picked up a new Alhambra today, well I say new as its new to me, it's actually a 2005 130SX model, with 115000 miles, it suits my needs for now. I thought these models had the trip computer but I don't have the buttons on the left stalk. It has cruise control and some buttons on the end of that - no idea what there for.

I'm going to do the cam belt tomorrow before I take it out for a good test run, anyone have any pointers for an easy method of doing it.

Also...is there anything I should check out before I take it out for a thrashing.

I have the same model. From what I can gather, the sx 130 is a basic model but with the asz 130 engine.
Your right, it doesn't have a trip computer, that would be on the right stalk. All the buttons on the left stalk are for the cruise control. I don't think the trip computer can be retro fitted on them as the screen on the dash is different.

I need to do the belt and water pump on mine to, Gsf are doing the kit cheap enough on ebay. Number is - 370882256994.
Good luck with the car!

Thanks, although I've already changed the timing belt. The water pump was good so no need to change it as there was no play in it at all. Gave it a full service too with all mann filters.

Would you happen to know the correct color of coolant to use in these, blue or pink?

Also...whats an asz engine?

SteveSXTdi, I have one more question for you. This is more just out of curiosity, seeing as we have the same model car. What your mpg like?

I get between 38-40 usually. 45 on a long run.
I've needed a new thermostat for a while now as it's stuck open so it might get better when it's replaced
People do seem to say they get 50 but I think for a big heavy 7 seater 40 isn't too bad.
What u getting?

erm...not sure
I've yet to do a test. I filled it up a couple of weeks ago with the intention of doing a few shorty runs and back to the same pump to check but, I got roped into going on the M1 up to Luton airport. So my city test went out the window. I suppose I can do a combined test. :)

Impressive for a big vehicle.
My previous car was a fiat ulysse and that gave me 350 - 400 on a good day with the wind behind me.
And it had an 80ltr tank
