Lol exactly Pyro, we all get the slang terms now we've been here a while, I was so confused when I first signed up :D. You'll pick it all up soon enough daz & sarah, just use the search tab on the menu for anything you need to know, there's loads of info.

Best advice for you is remap next and then if you fancy spending a few more £££ on a 'dump valve', try one of the twin-piston atmospheric valves, a Turbosmart Kompact Dual Port or a GFB 50/50. Until then, stick with the standard one if it still works well or if it's on its way out, replace with the Forge 007 valve. You can get 10% forum discount on the Forge website if you contact them for the discount code :).

Depends on the mapper, can range from as little as £250 up to £500. Some mappers are all over the nation like Custom Code & REVO and others are independant like AMD, JabbaSport, Forge or P-Torque with only one or two site offering their services.

Yeah, expect to see 210 - 215bhp from it. After full exhaust, front mount intercooler and some other little bits then expect 230 - 240bhp. I'm not sure on torque figures for your turbo (KO3s) but they'll jump up nicely too.

im thinkin of an exhaust would it benefit from just a stainless backbox?

A backbox will do nothing apart from make a slightly deeper sound. To get any benefit from an exhaust on a turbocharged car, you need to change the downpipe for a larger one, install a sports-cat and fit a free flowing cat-back system.

there are some good ones on ebay, are there any good ones you can advise???

You want a 2.5" down pipe, a 2.5" sports cat or decat and a 2.5" cat-back. You can alternately get a 3" downpipe.

Brands that are recommended are BlueFlame, Piper (although has knocking issue right now), Milltek and any of the other big brands. Go for a non-resonated system for it to be louder or custom system if you want it tuned for pops, bang and flames.
