New Starter Fitted now Abs/Handbreak light flashes help

Just had a new starter motor fitted by a garage now when driving my abs and handbreak light flash every now and then and then go off??

Check brake fluid level about half way down bottle inbetween max and min so not really low.

Just tried pushing all connectors back on again nothing seems loose etc

when i hit breaks abs light comes on the goes off when pedal released been raining quite a bit not sure if that could be the culprit?

Any help would be great got to travel 120 miles on Wednesday so need to sort this asap

I am really struggling with this one now been on 4 grand diagnostic machine and still no joy

had fuse box out tried starting car then disconnecting starter still showing fault so starter not at fault

also check abs control box under /behind expansion bottle no corrosion etc so

I have had 2 garages look at it and no joy anyone out there help me at whits end!

everytime a switch ie wiper / lights / hazards etc etc the lights come on then go out all on car except the heater switch when it does not illuminate

you have an earth going to the head of your engine, check its still there, clutching at straws with that one though but gives similar problems as its what your clocks eartrh off..

where abouts you mean on inner wing near battery? as that has been checked?

no it goes to the head, a small brown wire i think it is... likely will have a ring terminal or spade terminal on the end but if its not there it might have sheared off maybe?

Just a thought but when they changed the starter did they refit the engine earth lead that is usualy mounted on the end of the starter bolts ?
