Wouldnt imagine it being as skitish, just more likely for the arse end to swing out, but I enjoy going sideways anyhow.

My tires usually only last 4500 miles. Wonder what the toyos will wear like. Hope I can make them last till after the summer, and then will buy some more cold/wet performance tires.

have you had any experience with the track day kuhmos tyres mate.
They handle beautifully on the wet, mine do anyway (different dimensions and car).

Rob, funny you should ask, a close friend has them on a Miata NBFL and we were discussing it today. For the past 4 years he's been using semislick tyres on the road exclusively, and he also has a great deal of track experience. He said that after a long time, he finally found the perfect tyre on the Kumho's (hard compound).
I'll have more info in about an hour.

I was hoping because they grip better, I will spin less, and that would even things out.

better buy a cheapo set to bridge the gap now then. Think I might test some hankook ventos.
