Hi, so where did you source that Quaife ATB Diff, as from what it sounds like, its worth putting on any TDI... should work nicely with Konig coilovers and upper and lower struts... ;)

Hi Slick
The Quaife diff was sourced by us.
We have these in stock.
Stoneyford has done quite a good write up on this mod.
If you want any help just let me know.

thought id update this thread instead of starting a new one , despite saying id let my credit card recover after the remap , the extra power has shown 288mm stoppers are not up to task and also the rear wiper cant remove soot so ........

wat we have is galfer 312mm discs and 1055 pads courtesy of quattroman, a polo wiper courtesy of ebay and as a wee treat to myself a stealth key from the ebay as well, just waiting now on calipers and carriers coming from 247 spares ( 82 quid , steal of the century) and a new blade for the key , then it'll be time for my next trick------quiet kyle

just an idea that will happen within a month ,

there is a small pin inside the key that holds the blade in , u punch the pin out , remove blade , and repeat the process , and local VW place said a good reputable locksmith can cut the blade , and then vagcom to recode the key/immobiliser

good to hear from u carlo

I understood the pin bit but I don't get when the locksmith cutting thing comes in,,,
I mean, you punch the pin out, remove the blade, punch then the blade into the switchblade thing, and you're done, not?

wee update , bought more toys over this last week , and am just waiting on everything arriving at the house , as said b4 the discs and pads are here , but now so are the calipers (80 quid courtesy of 247spares.com,) needed a scrub and spray but look quite dandy now , thanks to hammerite smooth silver and some wet n dry paper

also ordered last night a diesel geek short shifter ( not here yet but heres a pic)

also heard good things about these bushing inserts from www.tyrolsport.com , so ordered them up to try them , like a nice firm pedal do i

now the main mod , been sitting on this for qa couple of weeks , they were ordered last monday so should be arriving this week , its a defi BF link gauge set , 2 bar boost and exhaust gas temperature, the gauges will be mounted in black alcantara trimmed bezels where the 2 centre air vents usually are , and the link unit , in ablack alcantara trimmed surround in the cubby hole under the radio , am really looking 4ward to this mod , the gauges are A1 quality and have alarm functions as well as having red backlights to match the dash .

for more info see here http://www.defi-shop.com/product/bf/bf_top.html

Cant wait to see the gauges mate, should look really good!

I also had the pleasure of driving this beast today and it fcukin amazing!

the clutch, so sharp and not to heavy! The power is unreal and never stops! Reving the whole way to about 5000rpm:blink: and still pulling strong with more to go!

Didnt really try putting it hard into a corner as I didnt want to end up in a hedge or ontop of a roundabout!;)

Now you wont go lightly on them brakes will you steven? use them like i did;) i gave mine the blast of its life yesterday on the way back from sheffield 4500 rpm in 5th at 120mph she was begging for mercy but that was an accurate 120 as indicated by the roadangel. The mpg was at 18.9 with foot to the floor. My poor baby:cry:
