what was the max boost for the VT2?
2100 is a bit too high for my likes,,, I'm one that's more keen to loose some hp top end to have more grunt down low,,,

With a bigger turbo, you won't want to push it below 2k anyway. Think DMF going crazy...

obviously,,, and the gearbox too,,, that's why I said I prefer to have a faster spoolin turbo that gives a good grunt down low but not too much to kill the transmission,,, and if this makes me loose power up then I'm prepared,,,

My VT2 was running 2.2 bar max, the propane injection put it up to 2.4 which allards said was to high "if you want the turbo to last with the way you drive" Which is why i was waiting for a remap to lower the boost and add more propane to get more power.2100rpm for the VT7 is higher then i would like really but its not much higher rpm then the OEM turbo and if i like i can always add no2 to kick in from 0-2100 rpm.If you want more grunt below 2000 rpm from a diesel i should think :
A. You are not driving it hard enough.
B. You need a bigger CC size engine.

why n2o when you got lpg??
the low down grunt thing is just that when I get more hp from an engine, I just don't like it sluggish down and then BANG for a 2500 rpm range and then same thing in next gear. this is
1 cos I don't drive always foot to the floor [and you too]
and 2 cos driveability [torque spread curve] is prior to absolute peak hp for me.

PS , dieselgeek 02m didnt fit the ibiza , if u have a golf,leon 6spd , PM me its 4 sale , and still havent sent the tranny mount to vibratechnics and the gauges at customs

just done 30 odd miles on them , hard to restrain myself , but i can tell theres a lot of brake power there if needed , with a good pedal feel too , should have another 100 miles on tomorrow, so should be able to stand it on its nose a few times , for research purposes

They look good chap, what discs are they again? You only got 30 odd miles on them in 1.5hrs thats crap mate, should have done atleast 75-100 with a few harsh braking manovers in there.

Brakes look superb Steven...id give them more than 100miles though before tramping on them!!

have 160 on them now , brake pedal is as hard as a w es heart , really good , can really tell the difference
