I need to replace the two front tyres on my Leon FR due to wear. I have four Dunlop Sport Maxx TT tyres at the moment which were factory fitted.

Like my previous Leon as the tyres wear the road noise inside becomes louder and I know there has been lots of talk about uneven tyre wear on the Mk2 Leons.

Can anyone recommend from their experience what make of tyre to go for or just stick with the Dunlops?

Also I have the Ipod connection under the driver seat and i'm getting really fed up in trying to plug my ipod into it. It's so fiddly to get it in the slot. Can anyone recommend any alternatives?

Cheers.

I recently changed both my fronts on my TDI 140 Ref Sport!

I had Bridgestone Potenzas and i cant tell you how glad i am to be shot of them!

I now have some Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's and theyre incredible! The grip just keeps on going, i havent been able to find any wheel spin and the traction control hasnt kicked in for months, even when ive got the loud pedal meshed to the floor on a large island! :)

The road noise is also much reduced from the bridgestones! I cant say how well they will wear since this is the first time ive used them, but first impressions are that they are spot on!

Besides, i tend to give my tyres a hard life and they need replacing every year anyway! (roughly 12K miles)

Got mine from Camskill for ~£120 per tyre, delivered

The factory spec tyres are pretty good I reckon.

Buy a cheap ipod from ebay, sync it to your itunes and leave it in there, only take it out when you want to re-sync it again with new music.
